A Speech For My Granddad

A 4th of July speech dedicated to my granddad. It would've been his possibly 70th birthday, but...he passed away almost 2 years ago guys so...this is kind of a heart felt speech made just for him:

During the 1950's and the 1960's, the wars between Vietnam and Korea had been declared (I'm not so good with history so don't judge me), my grandfather and his brothers, from the true knowledge I gathered, fought in Vietnam for a long period of time. Bombs were set, traps were set, they through anything they had at my grandfather, his brothers, and anyone who even dared to come any closer to their campgrounds. My grandfather was a captain of the army and had been trained to fight off the attackers. Most of his brothers gave their lives on the battlefield, but he and the remainder of his surviving brothers, came back home to America for his family. He'd hadn't been that scared before and he had never been that happy to be home. A few years later, after discovering that Agent Orange (something that was sprayed to keep the bugs away) was a rather deadly and fatal chemical and after trying to stop smoking, he passed away on December 21, 2013. 

It has now been 2 years since then. I hope that he knows his granddaughter is spreading his story to you guys to know that all the veterans that had fought in ANY war, whether it be WW1, WW2, the Civil War or whatever war it was, they were brave and they fought for their lives and family.

I miss you granddad...<3
