Chapter 6 The Journey Begins

Sheldon walked through the trails. He stopped a few times to take out the map that was given to him to look at where he had to go, specifically according to the map’s directions. He had to get through a darkened forest. He took a breath. “I guess I’ll have to face my fears one way or another.” He put up a brave act and entered the forest. It was the only shortcut on the map that Sheldon really knew about on how to get to that castle.

He had to get there to save Luna. He had to save her, their unborn child, and he had to save their marriage. If Ron married her, it would put a horrid strain their marriage, Ron would abuse Luna and the baby. He didn’t want anything bad happening to his child or his wife.

It was time to be a hero for her. It was at least time to prove himself to everyone he was brave and strong. He thought to himself that he could do this.

Stormblaze looked around the village. Richard sighed. “You know, it would’ve been easier if we just followed the map instead of you teleporting us to a random location, right?” Stormblaze scoffed a bit. “I don’t need a map. Besides, teleportation is the best kind of transportation. And I have really cool powers.”

Tarzan shook his head. “Lets just find Sheldon. Okay?” The two sighed and nodded. “Alright, Tarzan, you go into the castle and look for Sheldon, Richard and I’ll look around the village and see if he went to a rest stop or something.” Stormblaze walked off with Richard following.

“Be careful, Tarzan.” Richard warned. Tarzan nodded and headed off to the castle.

He entered, hoping to be undetected. He was wrong to enter through the front gate and through the front door. Two guards pointed their swords at him. “Trespasser!” Tarzan gulped.

Ron and Lilith walked up to the frightened Infernape. Ron smirked. “Well, are you the hero in place of that cowardly Lucario?” Tarzan growled at Ron. “Sheldon’s no coward!” Ron bursted out into hysterical laughter. “Are you seriously joking?! Why would another Lucario like him fear the darkness, or anything else that terrifies him? Hm?”

Tarzan didn’t say anything. Ron smirked. “I thought so.” Lilith smirked. “Guards! Take him away!” The guards did as they were told. Tarzan sighed. I know you’re brave and that you can do it, Sheldon. I just know it!

“Did you find him?” Stormblaze asked. Richard shook his head. “I couldn’t find him anywhere.” Stormblaze sighed. “I guess we’ll have to go out for Tarzan and see if he found him.” The anthro cat walked up to the castle, with Richard following. Where are you, brother?

***

Sheldon was halfway out of the forest. So far so good. Now I just need to get out of here and-- Something didn’t seem right. He stopped. He looked behind him. He thought he heard something. He waited for something to come out at him. He slowly took a step back. He started growling. Sheldon tried to be as bold as he intended to be, it seemed to be working.

Suddenly a Scyther appeared, trying to slice Sheldon in half. Sheldon immediately dodged the attack, leaping into the air and landing on his feet without a single scratch. “I don’t know who you are, but I know two things: One; You’re working for Ron. Two; You are so going down!” Sheldon charged at the bug type with a force palm.

Thanks to his agility and accuracy, he was able to get a hit. They Scyther hit the ground, but managed to get back up. Sheldon’s eyes widened. “You just won’t give up, will you.” Sheldon shrugged. “Suit yourself.”

Sheldon battled Scyther with every single attack he knew and was able to use. Once the Scyther finally hit the ground, Sheldon had a feeling it had fainted from exhaustion. He slowly walked up to it, seeing a symbol of some sort. It somehow looked like a satanic symbol, but didn’t seem much like it. He examined it closer. It was an “X”, he thought it was Slenderman’s symbol, but examining it even closer, the X had what looked like triangles at its ends. He tilted his head. He shook the Scyther awake.

“Hey, what does that symbol on your armor represent?” Sheldon demanded an answer. They Scyther looked up at the Lucario. “It’s a symbol Ron invented to resemble Queen Lilith.”

Sheldon’s eyes narrowed. “Who’s Queen Lilith?”

“You’ll know her when you see her. I’m not suppose to say, but you need a special weapon to defeat her. That’s all I can say for now.”

Sheldon nodded thanking the Scyther. The Scyther soon got off the ground and flew into the distance. As Sheldon watched him fly off, he continued onward. Something suddenly caught the corner his eye before reaching the exit. It was a sword, just laying on the ground. A small patch of sunlight shone on the sharpened weapon. The Lucario slowly walked towards the weapon. He knelt down, he tilted his head in confusion.

“Why would someone leave a perfectly good sword right here on the ground?” He asked himself.

He touched the handle. It wasn’t cold, it wasn’t warm either. He slowly picked it up and looked at the bladed weapon. “I guess this is what I have to use to defeat Queen Lilith.” Sheldon later went on his way, exiting the forest and entering the village.

Luna kept her eyes on the window, she sighed. She was slowly losing hope that Sheldon wasn’t going to make it. Her ears suddenly perked up to the sound of the doors opening and closing. She turned her head to see Tarzan. Sheldon’s old friend.

“Tarzan? What are you doing here?”

“Luna? That you?”

Luna nodded. “Yes. It’s been a very long while since we’ve seen each other.” She chuckled slightly.

Tarzan nodded, he looked at her belly. “Well, looks like you’ve gotten bigger.” He laughed as he gently rubbed Luna’s pregnant belly. She nodded. “I think that time for this one to be born is drawing near.” Luna closed her eyes and frowned. “If only Sheldon was coming quicker.”

Tarzan looked up at the window. “I’m sure he’s coming. Don’t worry. I’m sure he’s fine too.” He wrapped his arms around her in a hug and comforting embrace. “I know Sheldon more well than anyone. He’s got this.” Or at least I hope he does…

Tarzan felt a slight twinge of doubt in his good friend himself. He was worried about Sheldon just as much as Luna was. But he still had his hopes that Sheldon would be able to save them.

***

Caitlin soon landed in the center of the village. She returned her Charizard back into his pokeball. She looked all around her surroundings. No sign of an enemy around here. She slowly walked forward not wanting to be captured, she continued to keep a keen eye for any suspicious characters.

I know you’re here, Sheldon. I just hope you’re okay.

***

Sheldon finally made his way towards the castle. He took a breath and gulped his fear down into his stomach. There was no turning back at this point and time. He had to be a brave man now. The minute he stopped at the gates, he noticed it was locked tightly. He sighed and looked around trying to find another entrance. He noticed something at the corner of his eye.
A sewage pipe?

He tilted his head and shrugged. Surely it would lead him to Luna. He carefully lifted the lid and removed it from the sewer’s entrance. He took a deep breath and jumped in the hole without even thinking twice. He kept his nose held on contact to avoid the sewer’s stench of decaying waste. But it was the next best way to get to Luna and he had to hurry.

***

Kara sobbed lightly in her cell, she felt like most of this was her own fault. She didn’t do anything to help Luna, she felt weak. Her sobs soon ceased when she heard a banging sound coming from underground. The sewer lid was taken off from the hole. Sheldon crawled out seeing Kara.

“Val? Sis, what are you doing here? I thought I told you in the note that I--Wait...you’re not Valentine.” He looked at the Zoroark closer and scanned her aura thoroughly. “You’re name’s Kara, you’re a slave to Queen Lilith and Ron, and you’re scared because they made you feel fear. Am I correct?”

Kara nodded. She opened her mouth to ask a question, but Sheldon hushed her by gently putting his paw on her mouth. “It’s okay, I know why you’re scared. You won’t be for long. My friends and I’ll protect you.” Kara looked up at Sheldon silently with a slight spark of hope in her eyes. Sheldon smiled.

“But first we need to get you outta here.” Sheldon walked over to the cell door and smirked. He pulled his index claw. “One Lucario's claw is a Zoroark and another Lucario’s get outta jail free card.” Sheldon whispered inserting his index claw into the keyhole, jiggling it around until his ears perked up and opened up the door.

Sheldon smiled and held on to Kara’s hand. “Come on, lets get you outta here.” Kara looked at Sheldon, highly unsure if he was doing the right thing or unsure if she should stay or go with Sheldon. “A-are you sure I’ll be okay?” Sheldon nodded. “I promise. You’re gonna be fine.”

Kara knew she had no other choice than to leave, freedom was one of her wishes, her next wish was to find her true love. Which would either be difficult or simple.
:phew: Finally this story is done and the whole thing will be posted today. =3

So Sheldon heads off, battles a Scyther, gets a random sword. Tarzan gets captured and thrown in the dungeon, Richard and Stormblaze are still finding Sheldon and so is Caitlin. Sheldon then meets Kara and helps her get out of her hecktic life.
