Chapter 7: Once A Daddy's Girl, Always A Daddy's Girl

Caitlin smirked cockily. "This'll be too easy." She glared at Carlsbad. Most of the Pokemon on the field thought of her as insane up to this point, but she honestly didn't care. "It's time to show you girls aren't all sugar and spice, Carly-boy!"

The tough looking Druddigon glared back at the small Lucario. "Ya know, you are kinda tough, for a girl!"

Caitlin's fire kept growing with every antisapation as Dragon, a charizard, finally banged the gong. The battle began. Caitlin started of with a aura sphere/bone rush combo attack as Carlsbad began using dragon rage, which Caitlin easily dodged, but hit her ankle somehow. Forcing her to fall to the ground, she looked back at her ankle and cringed a bit.

"Only just a scratch. A small scratch that can be fixed." She said to herself as she was about to jump in the air and use an iron tail attack, but somehow missing again. "What the? I've never missed that attack before, ever."

Dragon just watched the entire match as Caitlin kept missing and trying her hardest to dodge Carlsbad's attacks. Carlsbad was pretty much like an older brother to Dragon, even though he and Caitlin didn't get along quiet well, he still had a brotherly love for the
Druddigon. But he knew that something was strangely off about the match, Caitlin would never go easy on a Pokemon like Carlsbad, with the exception of her understanding Dragon's and Carlsbad's brotherly love. She clearly wouldn't allow herself to lose a match.

"Hey, Carly. I think you should take it a little bit easy on her, she's just a pup after all." He said, trying to get Carlsbad to reason him into going a little bit easier on the female Lucario.

"What? I'm not a riolu anymore. Why would Dragon think that?" Caitlin asked herself.

Sheldon walked up to the training field with a worried expression. "Caitlin...did you, um, leave a small bag of water in your front pockets again? Because it...seems that...there's a pool of liquid that you're standing in...."

"Sheldon, what do you even mean...by..." Caitlin slowly looked down and blushed a bright shade of pink, her cheeks glowed a vivid bright pink color. "...That?!" She shrieked. The female Lucario gulped and cringed as laughter suddenly filled the air. She nearly started whimpering.

Valentine, a female zoroark and Sheldon's adoptive sister, stepped up next to her little brother. "Sheldon, you take her place in the battle for a while, I'll go ahead and get her cleaned up, okay?"

Caitlin tried to shake off the embarrassment, but to no avail. She glared at Dragon and a cackling Carlsbad. "Dragon! Can't I just change into a fresh pair of clothes by myself? Everyone here is being inapproperate and unreasonable!"

"Inapproperate? Unreasonable?" Dragon repeated. "Cait, so far you kept getting yourself injured and failed to even leave a small scratch on Carlsbad and then you empty your own bladder during a battle! The way we see it now is simply this; if you're going to act like a baby, you'll be treated like one!"

Caitlin's eyes widened. She couldn't fathum what was happening to her now. She had no other choice though, without putting up a fight, she allowed Valentine to carry her away and allowed her to clean her up. She covered her eyes from the embarrassment going on around her. The minute she uncovered her eyes, she found herself as a Riolu again. "Baba gibi!" She slammed her paw on her muzzle. she couldn't speak properly anymore.

Valentine giggled and lifted her up. "Aww, who's a cute little baby? Is it you? I think it is!" She cooed.

Caitlin couldn't speak, so she couldn't cry for help at all. All she could do was litterally cry. She released a loud wail as she was then being cradled in Valentine's arms and carried her towards Pique and Base. "Here boys, I think your sister needs you right now."

Base glared at Valentine in digust. "Are you kidding us? We don't want no drooling, crying, fuzz-ball!"

Valentine sighed. "Well, sweetie. I'm going to have to give you away to someone else then."

(W-wait...Base! Pique! Come on! Please! I'm your sister! You have to want me back! Please...) All she could really do was cry. The second someone else took her from Valentine's grasp, she was met with darkness and three strange men. She then found herself as a Lucario again.

"Okay...who are you three? And what the heck is this?!"

The first person, a human (possibly Obi's former trainer), smirked and chuckled. "I guess you really are stupid. I don't believe we've met. I'm Obi's old trainer. Nice to meet my new prize that I can--"

"Touch any part of me and you're a dead man!"

"Ohh, the girl's got guts." The next figure said. A shiny Zoroark most likely. With a redding within his eye and his irises being yellow. His hair cut short and wearing short jeans shorts. "You must've gotten that tough act from your dear old heap of garabage of a father that you're mother loved more than I. But you would've been my daughter if your mommy married me."

"What?"

"You don't get it do you brat?" A dragon/wolflion grumbled. "I used to be all that Lorietta cared about before you came along. ZorZor was suppose to be Lucaria's husband if you hadn't been born. And Gavin would've had Obi back if he didn't have you. Name's Laxin. I wish I would've taken care of you if Lori hadn't had that stupid mother's protective instintic to protect a worthless runt like you."

Caitlin's ears flattened. "Wait...Gavin wanted Obi back because of his former reputation? ZorZor, whoever the frick you are, was suppose to be my father? And you were gonna marry Lorietta before she took me in?"

"Yeah, but we were all going to thrive without you if you hadn't ruined our lives!" Laxin uttered. "But now we finally have the chance to finish the job. But don't worry, you've been such a good girl that you'll be able to go to heaven."

Caitlin was paralyzed with terror at this point. "Wait! You're going to kill me?!?"

"Heheh...precisely...GET HER!" Laxin commanded.

ZorZor and Gavin did as they were told. Caitlin screamed in terror preparing to feel the pain.

---

Caitlin woke up gasping, sweating, and a few tears falling from her eyes. She tried swallowing the lump in her throat but it just wouldn't go away or go down. She sniffle and opened her mouth to cry for help, no words came. She kept fighting it off.

(No. Caitlin, you're eighteen. You don't act like a baby at eighteen, it's not normal. But I...I...I just....I...just want...my...m-my...)

She couldn't hold it in anymore. She had to let it out and get it off her chest and out her mind. In great gasping wails, she finally caved in.

"I want my daddy!!!"

---

Obi shot up with a start, looking around and finally getting up. His fatherly instintics kicked in at last. He darted up the stairs and made his way into Caitlin's room. He entered her room and immediately noticed something wrong, he could tell because she was crying. "Caitlin! What's the matter?"

Obi made his way over to the girl and embraced her and held her in a comforting hold. "Shh, shhh. It's alright babygirl. Daddy's here, Daddy's got you, sweetheart. I'm never gonna let you go." He held her closer and kissed her on the head. Eventually, Caitlin started to calm down. Obi smiled. "There we go, had another nightmare?"

Caitlin said nothing, but nodded. It wasn't long after when she finally spoke. "Daddy...you're not gonna leave me alone forever...are you?"

Obi smiled and only strengthened his embrace. "Of course I won't. Was that was what your nightmare was about?"

Caitlin sniffled and nodded, a small whimper escaping her throat. It took her a few seconds to finally regain her voice again. "Half of it was weird and embarrassing and the other half was...well..horrifying..." Taking in a large gulp of air, she continued on. "One minute I was battling with Carlsbad, I was gonna win too, the next minute I was turned back into a Riolu. The next thing I knew I confronted your previous trainer, Lorietta's former future husband, and my biological mother's ex-lover. They were going to....to..." She couldn't say anymore. She broke down again in a small fit of confusion and sorrow.

Obi flattened his ears in concern and understanding. Wanting to comfort her more, he moved her on his lap. "I see. It's okay, nightmares can't hurt you, Cait. Daddy's gonna be here to protect you for the night. Okay?"

Caitlin nodded and nuzzled her face into Obi's chest. "Daddy...you didn't really give me up because you didn't want me...did you?"

Obi's ears then lifted about that sudden question, then he strengthened his embrace towards his adopted daughter. "Sweetheart...I had to give you up because I was afraid that Gavin was going to do with you when he was going to capture you." He kissed his daughter on the top of her head. "I didn't want you to go through what I had to go through as a child, babygirl."

She finally understood the truth. Her parents gave her up because they were afraid of what ZorZor was going to do to her, Obi did the same because he was afraid of what Gavin would do to her, and the cycle went on after Lorietta unwillingly gave her up at a young age after breaking up Laxin. The minute she was old enough to leave her bio parents on a journey with her friend Sheldon, she was re-adopted by Lorietta. The puzzle finally came together. Everyone wanted to protect her because of who or what was going to harm her. The minute the predators left, she was safe to go back to her large family.

Caitlin sniffled and smiled. "...Daddy?..."

"Hm?"

Caitlin took a breath and sighed. "Can you...sleep in here with me tonight?...Please?..."

Obi smiled and he couldn't say no to that. It had been all too long since he'd seen his little girl. "Of course I can."

Caitlin smiled and cuddled her face into his chest. "Thanks, daddy...I love you..."

Obi smiled and started softly sobbing tears of joy. "I love you too, babygirl..." He sighed and smiled and gently began rubbing Caitlin's back, it wasn't long after when he began singing the lullaby again.

You are my sunshine
my only sunshine
you make me happy
when life is grey
you'll never know dear
how much I love you
you will be my sunshine always

It's okay dear, now don't you cry
You're the apple of my eye
As you grow up, just remember
You'll be daddy's girl always

You are my sunshine
my only sunshine
you make me happy
when life is grey
you'll never know dear
how much I love you
you will be my sunshine always

The only thing that could be heard afterwards was Caitlin's soft purrs as she slept peacefully. Obi smiled and hugged his little angel in his arms. "I love you, Cait. You are and you'll always be my sweet, sweet little angel. No matter what happens, daddy is always going to love you."
Here's yet another chapter, I'm thinking of putting like eight chapters in this one, chapter eight will be the ABSOLUTE last chapter of this here story. :XD:
